Hari-Kul-Esh
Well ,the exact interpretation of the above stated word is "Descendant of Lord Vishnu ". Let us keep this aside for a moment and get back to it when we needed.
During the time of Kurukshetra war, Lord Krishna was by the side of Pandavas and 10,000 most powerful Yadava warriors were by the side of Kauravas. When Duryodhana and Arjuna came to entreat help from Lord Krishna, he asked them to chose between him and 10,000 equivalently powerful warriors. He even said he shall not take part in violence but would give any suggestions if needed. This is when Duryodhana chose 10,000 warriors and Arjuna chose Krishna.
Balarama, who was the elder brother of Krishna and eighth incarnation of Maha Vishnu ,was not really happy for this war. He never really wanted a dispute between the brothers and disengaged himself from the war. It was known that he went on a pilgrimage in North-West direction and returned to Dwaraka after some time period. So, there was not even a chance to the Kuru princes to consult him.
Many ancient books broached his pilgrimage that he along with his ardent followers came across a lot of impediments in their path.He even fought with a magnanimous lion and was always guarded by snakes during his pilgrimage. There was a furious battle between Balarama and a clan of demons who constantly inflicted the natives of that region. Balarama with his weapons, plough called Balachita and a powerful mace thrashed them and revived hope among innocent locals.. As he culminated the rule of terror-driven demons, the natives called him as Hari-Kul-Esh.
Now observe the word and repeat it in your mind with an accent .....
Hercules!!!!!!!!
Our muscular Yadava Balarama himself is the mighty Greek Hercules.......
Seems interesting right...
Of course, there is no proper evidence to prove that the name Hercules is evolved from Hari-kul-esh but there is a chance of coincidence that this might actually happen.
Not only this case, but also there were a lot of other stories in Greek and Roman mythology that were very contiguous to the ancient Hindu mythology. The characterizations may vary but the content is so analogous that we can relate them to our own mythological stories that we read and heard from our ancestors.
All these facts conclude that our stories are not fully fictitious but are truths that happened..Yes!! they are our ancestors.Exegesis may vary but candor is that we belong to a clan of ferocious warriors who never knew the meaning of defeat and who never ever gave up......

Facts are always retold by different people and this makes them the 'truths'
